Build your lab handbook
Writing a lab handbook from scratch is the reason most group leaders never write one. This tool does the first draft for you.
You get one commitment per screen. Tick the practices that already describe your lab, or confirm that the suggested ones do, and move on. The wording is drawn from the SAFE Labs Handbook and from the community examples contributed by labs across Europe and North America. At the end you get a draft of every section to edit, publish, and hold yourself to.
The tick-boxes come from those examples and from published handbooks of other labs. We used AI to pull out the themes that kept recurring, then reviewed and edited every one by hand, so treat it as a summary of what labs already do rather than a survey of it. Nothing is generated while you fill the form in: the wording is written in advance, and your answers only decide which parts of it appear.
